With Halloween comes trick or treating and one of my favorite candies to receive in my pumpkin bucket were the Universal Monster candy boxes. Not so much for the candy (as they were virtually flavorless) but for the now iconic box art. A posterized black and white illustration of a classic movie monster in front of brightly colored backgrounds sandwiched between "Monster" and "Candy". So simple, yet so satisfying. ⁣

Paying homage to those iconic Universal Monsters candy boxes, this release reimagines that artwork with modern day horror legends. ⁣

Series number one (1) in a planned series of five (5), this first four (4) card set showcases Freddy Krueger, Pennywise (1990), Maniac Cop and a male alien from John Carpenter's They Live.⁣

There is also a "day one issue", fifth card of Freddy Krueger available with series one. This variant features the iconic red and green stripes associated with the dream demons sweater. This card is ONLY available as a part of series one during the first 24 hours of the sale. After that 24 hours, the variant card will no longer be included with the four (4) card series. ⁣

Also going forward anyone who picks up all five (5) sets will receive a free bonus set of cards. This bonus set will feature alternate artwork that will only be available to those who purchase all five (5) sets. ⁣

Each card in the series will be secured in a custom frame, inside a penny sleeve sealed in a protective top-loader ready for display.

While these cards are professionally printed, they are assembled and cut by hand and as such, there will be ever so slight variances in the card dimensions and centering. They should be viewed as small batch, handmade, collectible art pieces.⁣
